She could have been : STOP FEMALE FOETICIDE

She could have been a scientist, made impossibles happen.

But before she could go ahead , you reset that important button.

She could have been a pilot, soared so high in miles of sky.

But before she could take off, you cut the wings that could fly.

She could have been a writer, ink filled with magic.

But before her story begun, you finished it without logic.

She could have been a doctor, healed the needy.

But before she could be born, you destroyed that living entity.

She could have been a teacher, nurtured the generations next.

But before her chapter could start, you put the story to rest.

She could have been a leader, one of the world’s best.

But before the the eggs could hatch, you destroyed the entire nest.

She could have been your pride, made your life feel much better.

But your ignorant male chauvinism, wouldn’t let you see any further.

She is a pearl, a beautiful girl trying to add glitter to this world.

Let this special thing stay in her mother’s womb, safe & curled.

She is the creator of human race, don’t kill her with a surgical knife.

It’s the time to give her back, what she gives us – LIFE!

I’ve heard of the term infanticide but foeticide is just as accurate. Whatever word/s are used the action needs to stop. Thank you for your heartfelt post about this matter.

  3. Wow – what a polemic!

Birth and evolution are all about possibilities.

Wow, this actually brought tears to me eyes. And the image is as poignant as your words. As an expectant woman myself I tear up when thinking of those poor babies which are being slaughtered daily. Thank you for this beautiful piece ❤️
